Support Worker – Providing Compassionate Home Care

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team and provide exceptional care to individuals in the comfort of their own homes. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our clients with their daily living activities and promoting their independence. Your primary responsibilities will include personal care, companionship, medication management, and household tasks.

Responsibilities:
  1. Personal Care: Assist clients with personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring their comfort and dignity at all times.
  2. Companionship: Engage in meaningful conversations, and activities, and provide emotional support to foster a positive and supportive environment.
  3. Medication Management: Support clients with their medication regime, ensuring proper dosage and adherence to prescribed schedules. Maintain accurate medication records.
  4. Daily Living Activities: Help clients with meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, and shopping, promoting their independence and well-being.
  5. Mobility Support: Provide assistance and support to clients with mobility challenges, including transfers, walking, and the use of mobility aids.
  6. Emotional Support: Build trusting relationships with clients and their families, offering empathy, compassion, and understanding to enhance their overall well-being.
  7. Care Plan Implementation: Follow care plans and individualized client assessments to deliver person-centered care that meets their specific needs and preferences.
  8. Health and Safety: Ensure the safety of clients by adhering to health and safety guidelines, and identifying and reporting any potential risks or concerns.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a Support Worker or in a similar care role is desirable.
  • Compassionate nature with a genuine passion for providing high-quality care and support.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Empathy and understanding of the physical and emotional challenges faced by individuals requiring care.
  • Ability to follow care plans, and instructions, and adhere to health and safety protocols.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings.
  • A valid driving license and access to a reliable vehicle are preferred but not essential.
